Hennessy Artistry 19th July '08

I was at the Henessy Artistry party Saturday night, and it was: Foo Wahh! One hell of an event! Met a lot of interesting people there, saw a lot of people I know letting their hair loose. Was just an amazing party. Wish there's more of these parties. Kind Donny's kind friend, Janet gave me one of the VIP pass. Thanks, Donny n Janet.

At entrance with Pei Pei (peipei.pacmee.com)

Partners in crime(l to r: Me, Tim (tomcat.pacmee.com), Chet (ychet.pacmee.com), Donny (dwc.pacmee.com), Joe (joebalan.pacmee.com))

Then of course, what party would be complete without the babes:
I could've sworn they are trying to seduce....anyone.

2 fellow bloggers here. No idea who they are but the one on the right is apparently some popular blogger. Hot bloggers I must add:)

That's me with Esther Tan and FHM Girl Next Door (GND) winner Angie Ng. One is just as tall as me, and Angie is taller than me. I need heels!

Miss Malaysia Universe '08 Levy Li (levyli.pacmee.com)

Bumped into my old school friend, Carrie Fong. Gosh, haven't seen her in ages. She's the only person I know who is reputed not to be interested in cars and yet has a Ferrarri. Hmm...wish I can say the same.

Karen....

"Quickie" hosts and actresses: Belinda Chee (belindachee.pacmee.com) and Aishah Sinclair

Esther Tan again....

Joe (joebalan.pacmee.com) doing his funky dance moves again. And Angie hesitating to follow or not:)

Lots of people were seen drunk when I left. Wanna know why? Well, it's a Hennessy party, so booze is free all night long. No limits to how much you want to drink, you can have a bottle a person for that matter. Thanks, Hennessy! Hennessy's cool!

An eventful weekend!!

This weekend has been very very eventful. Full of activities. Friday afterwork started with me rushing back from Penang (for work) to attend Style magazine's anniversary bash in Velvet. The theme is Denim and Diamonds. I had no denims on, and obviously not diamonds. Nobody told me the theme, OK? Not my fault!!
Anyway, the place is so full of everyone from the fashion industry. We've got: brand owners and merchandisers, lifestyle people (basically people who tell you how to live cool), photographers, fashion event organisers, fashionistas (these people dress the best) and of course the MODELS. Very 'Glam' event. And we've got free flow of alcohol too (too bad I don't drink) and there's food glorious food. Met a lot of 'glam glam' people.
The 'glam glam' people I was talking about...the models:)

Saturday came late (or is it I woke up late??!!) Went for lunch with dear Candice and bought a pretty looking fish. In case you dunno, I'm very into koi (Japanese carp) fishes. This one is young, very young, but pretty. Small cutie (about 15cm) costed me RM280. This variety is called Shusui. They have all the weirdest names for koi fishes btw. Lost sight of it 5 minutes after I threw it into my pond. Hope it's not eaten. But these fishes grow fast, with luck, it should be more than 50cm and weighing more than 300 times how much it weighs now in a years time. Maybe I'll take a picture again in a year's time to show.

My latest little cutie. Grow fast fast, dear.
On Saturday evening, I was invited to the Muay Thai superfight competition. Luck has it that I didn't get to attend the competition as I had to attend another close friend's dinner. Well, looking at humans hurting each other makes me uncomfortable anyways. But I did go to the after party which was held in Zouk (my face is starting to look familiar there:)) Met some fantastic people there too. There's:

There's celebrity travel-blogger Nicolekiss(http://nicolekiss.pacmee.com/)

There's Joe Balan (joebalan.pacmee.com), editor of FHM magazine and Mei Ling, editor of Style magazine.

Bloody Malaysian Drivers.....that's including me too...

I was driving along Kesas Highway Thursday morning, and....I got involved in an accident. Some bugger (H. Accord) was driving way too fast, didn't stop in time. Hit poor fella (Kelisa) behind me and Kelisa hit me. Curses, swears.....

Reckless H. Accord
Poor Kelisa
Poor Kelisa

POOR ME!! *cries* And my car is only 2 months old....Damn!

If you wanna know, this is what you do in an accident:

  1. Take down car registration number. Call your insurance agent.

  2. Determine how serious accident is (so you know if you're gonna make an insurance claim).

  3. If you're gonna make an insurance claim: you need a police report (within 24hours).

  4. Go to police station of that area, make a report. The police will then take pictures of the damage to your vehicle

  5. Then police will make a judgement on who's at fault, fine the driver at fault and produce a report the next day (usually)

  6. You will need the police's report to make an insurance claim. You will also need the person's insurance policy number to get a claim too (or if you're at fault, other driver will need your policy number)

  7. Go to a panel workshop and let the nightmare begin. No car for a week or weeks...

REMEMBER, DO NOT:

  1. Be hassled by police or any towing company touts into sending it to a workshop of their choice (unless you're dead drunk, of course)

  2. There's no need to provide the other driver with your ID or business card. It's at your discretion whether you should be nice enough (or not) to do that. There's no Regulation saying yoummust provide ID to the other driver.

  3. In fact, there's no need to stop. If you feel there's a need to make a police report for insurance claim, by all means, just drive to the nearest police station. There are also no Regulation stating that you have to come down from your vehicle to negotiate. You can proceed to make a police report in 24 hours. This is definitely sound advise for any females involved in accidents. With such frustratingly high sexual crime rates in Malaysia, definitely smart move!!

Happy driving!

Flower Power

I'm not afraid to show my feminine side. I've came to love flowers. Yep, those colourful plants that I thought was always a waste of money. (I still think it is, when given to some girl just to express love) But when it is used for house decoration, I must say, the effect is moving. I've always think my house has a nice little garden. But this week, my mom decided to but more flowers to add colours to our cosy little house. And it's.......................Beautiful!!

Pictures before "flower" facelift

After pretty flowers. See??

That's FLOWER POWER!
